About True Colors Professional Painting - Proud to serve the North Bay

Raised in San Francisco, I was the youngest of five children and brought up in a military environment. I had a paint brush in my hand from the age of 7.

My father, a naval officer, was stationed at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 and saw a lot of action in the South Pacific throughout the duration of the war. He had inspired me, with his pride for his country, his honesty and most of all, his integrity. I looked up to him as the hero in my life, who had always encouraged me to be the best at whatever I did.

Following his military retirement, he purchased several rental properties in The City, where my brother and I helped him paint & repair vacant units for new tenants. During the summers, I worked as a house painter, and I learned the trade at an early age, working on Victorians, churches and schools throughout San Francisco.

Because of my natural artistic abilities, I was also recruited by a local artist while in high school, to paint murals around The City. By the age of 19, my friend's father offered me a job with his construction company where I quickly learned all the phases of new construction.

By the time I reached my early twenties, I was a union worker in the financial district, and worked with building engineers doing all phases of commercial painting and building maintenance. I eventually became a supervisor where I managed several commercial properties and a large staff.

In 1986, I moved to Sonoma County to be close to my father during his final days, and decided to make Sonoma County my home. I quit my job in The City, and resumed painting with local painting contractors until I decided to establish my own business. In 1996, True Colors Painting was born!

From those early days, to the present time, I have always carried my father's inspiration, his honesty and integrity with me, and apply them to all my personal and business practices. As my journey continues, I will constantly research the latest technologies, offer my expertise, advise, and new ways to help my customers solve their property maintenance problems.
